Who Should Attend
The NX100 Preventative Maintenance Course is a secondary-level course to the Motoman® industrial robots. This course provides programming, operating and maintenance instruction for first-time operators.

Course Overview
The training module consists of classroom lectures in which Motoman instructors present course material consisting of programming commands, reinforced with demonstrations. The commands and topics are related to real-world examples and applications. Students enhance the materials covered in the lectures with actual hands-on programming in the Yaskawa Motoman Canada Ltd. 2400 square foot, demonstration and training laboratory. Students work in teams to perform workshop exercises, including motor removal, robot calibration and greasing procedures. Classes are kept small in size, typically 6 or fewer students in order to promote an interactive, hands-on learning atmosphere. This allows the students to work with each other and YMC instructors in order to grasp the concepts of operating and maintaining a robot.

Course Materials
Students receive a copy of the NX100 Maintenance manual, which details maintenance functions and instruction techniques for the Motoman® NX100 Controller. Additional handouts are provided relating to specific topics covered in the class. Students are urged to take notes, participate in discussions and to bring up specific programming issues.

Topics
YMC Instructors cover topics, which enable the students to mechanically maintain the NX100 robots. The NX100 Preventative Maintenance Course is a 2.5 day course. This course typically closes out 60 days in advance.
