Who Should Attend
The NX100 Touch Sensing module is an advanced course for the NX100 controller. Students are required to possess basic programming knowledge of the NX100 controller and NX100 system welding prior to attending this training module. As a minimum, the student should have a basic understanding of the GMAW process. The NX100 BASIC PROGRAMMING with Arc Welding course is a prerequisite. NX100 Advanced Arc Welding is recommended.
Classroom lectures on theory of operations and programming commands are reinforced with demonstrations. Commands and topics are related to real-world examples and applications. Classes are kept small in size, typically 4 or fewer students, in order to promote an interactive, hands-on learning atmosphere.
Students receive a copy of the NX100 Touch Sensing manual. Additional handouts are provided that relate to specific topics covered in class. Students are urged to take notes, participate in discussings, and to bring up specific programming issues dealing with touch sensing.
Students learn to perform advanced functions with the NX100 controller and robots. Primary topics include: - weld start point detecting function - temporary shift with position variables - setup and programming of different types of touch jobs - modification of reference points
The NX100 Touch Sensing course is a 1 day course. This course typically closes out 60 days up in advance.
