Fast, Streamlined and Powerful

Motoman’s six-axis SSA2000 “Super Speed” arc welding robot can reduce welding cycle time by 15 percent, greatly enhancing productivity. Cycle time is faster because the motion speed of the robot axes is increased up to 40 percent as a result of cutting-edge motor control technology and new ARM (Advanced Robot Motion) control. Other enhancements, such as minimized ARC ON/OFF time and up to 30 percent less air-cut time, also reduce cycle time.

The SSA2000 model features integrated through-the-arm torch cabling, which eliminates cable interference, simplifies programming and reduces cable wear.

The SSA2000 has a 3 kg (6.6-lb) payload, 1,390 mm (54.7") reach, and ±0.08 mm (±0.003") repeatability. The SSA2000 is ideal for multiple robot applications with robots working in close proximity, for applications that require access to parts in tight spots or those with potential interference from fixtures.

The SSA2000’s hollow upper arm maintains the optimum bend radius of the welding torch cable, maximizing weld performance. The T-axis can rotate the torch ±200 degrees without cable interference. Regardless of torch orientation or part size or shape, the SSA2000 robot prevents bent, pinched or stretched cables, minimizing wire feed problems and optimizing weld performance. Motoman offers the industry’s first one-year torch cable warranty.

The standard SSA2000 robot is floor-mounted. Ceiling- or wall-mounted versions (SSA2000T) are available.

Advanced NX100 Controller

The NX100 high-performance controller features a Windows® CE programming pendant, fast processing, easy-to-use INFORM III programming language, and robust PC architecture.

The NX100 offers unmatched multiple robot control capability (up to four robots) to minimize cost of integration and eliminate risk of robot collisions.

The NX100 offers up to 100 user passwords available in several levels including: user, editor, maintenance, and supervisor. The password restricts and logs changes made to production programs.

The programming pendant features a color touch-screen display that can be configured as a custom HMI with buttons and status indicators.

Dual-channel safety features include enhanced E-Stop functionality, integrated speed monitoring, manual brake release switch, and compliance with both the ANSI/RIA R15.06-1999 and Canadian safety standards.

The NX100 offers unmatched connectivity through standard Ethernet and other network options: DeviceNet, ControlNet, Profibus-DP, and EtherNet /IP.
