ArcWorld II-500

The ArcWorld II-500 provides an affordable, wire-to-weld solution for small- to medium-size parts that might require repositioning. The AWII-500 is designed for low- to medium-volume automotive production or fabrication shops. Motion of the two MHT-180 headstock/tailstock positioners can be coordinated with the robot, allowing parts to be repositioned during welding. The positioners are guarded by a simple, rugged, electrically driven door design.

The compact ArcWorld II-500 features a super-speed SSA2000 “Expert Arc” welding robot, NX100 controller with menu-driven arc welding application software, integrated welding package, and two servo-controlled headstock/tailstock positioners. Its total safety environment complies with ANSI/RIA R15.06-1999 and Canadian safety standards.

Top 3 Reasons to Buy!

  • Cost- and space-efficient workcell for contoured parts less than 1-m
    (3.28') L.
  • Separate work stations support parts storage for two different operations in each station (i.e. LH/RH seat brackets).
  • Coordinated motion software for positioners is a standard feature and is easy to use.

Highlights

Easy Setup

  • All equipment is designed to be lagged to the floor. The standard AWII-500 is shipped with jigs to align the robot to positioners. Minimal assembly is required to erect the fence and lag equipment.
  • When purchased with the optional common base, the AWII-500 ships preassembled on a common platform that conveniently fits in a 98" wide trailer. The controller and power source are mounted on a second, smaller base. Installation is simple and quick, typically requiring less than two hours.
  • All door controls are located under guards in the front, providing easy access for maintenance from outside the cell.
  • Total safety environment includes dual-channel safety-rated, tamper-resistant interlocks; complete barrier guarding; single point of operator control; access doors in rear of cell; and dual-channel light curtains.

SSA High-Speed Robots

  • SSA2000 “Super Speed” robot features a 3 kg payload, 1,390 mm reach and ±0.08 mm repeatability.
  • Unique, integrated torch cable design of the SSA-series robots eliminates cable interference. This makes programming easier and reduces wear and associated cable maintenance downtime.
  • SSA-series robots are backed by the industry’s only two-year torch cable warranty.

NX100 Controller

  • Windows® CE programming pendant with color touch screen, fast processing, easy-to-use INFORM III programming language and robust PC architecture.
  • Unmatched memory (60,000 steps, 10,000 instructions), multi-level password protection and an Ethernet port.

Part Positioners: Two MHT-180 Headstock/Tailstocks

  • Each fixture station features a heavy-duty MHT-180 servo positioner with MotoMount™ fixture mounting system.
  • Standard MHT-180 positioner features a 180 kg (396.9-lb) payload at 152 mm (6") off center or a 550 kg (1,212.75-lb) payload at 50 mm (1.97") off center. Rotational speed is 12.4 rpm.
  • MHT-90 positioner option features rotational speed of 24.7 rpm.
  • Two independent fixture stations provide high part throughput since robot idle time is eliminated. While parts are welded at one station, the operator safely loads/unloads parts at the second station. This eliminates the sweep time common with turntables.
  • Electrically driven door design rated at six door cycles per minute. Door travel time is approximately two seconds up and two seconds down.

Customer Satisfaction

  • Motoman is committed to delivering the best customer satisfaction in the robot industry.
  • 24-hour technical and field service support, industry-leading warranties and maintenance protection plans.
  • Motoman has world-class training facilities and is dedicated to instructing customers in safe, effective programming and operation of their robots.
