Description Classroom lectures on programming commands are reinforced with demonstrations. Commands and topics are related to real-world examples and applications. Material covered in lectures is enhanced with actual hands-on programming by students. Students perform workshop exercises which emphasize topics covered in class lectures. Class size is kept small to promote an interactive hands-on learning atmosphere. This allows students to work closely with Motoman instructors to grasp the conceptsof robot programming.
Topics Students learn to perform advanced functions and apply weld- specific commands.

Overview The MRC Advanced Arc Welding Module, an advanced course on Motoman K and SK-series industrial robots, provides programming instruction for operators with a working knowledge of the MRC controller. As a minimum, the student should have a basic understanding of the GMAW process. The MRC Basic Arc Welding Programming Module is a prerequisite to this module AND STUDENTS MUST HAVE PREVIOUSLY COMPLETED THE STANDARD MRC ADVANCED ARC PROGRAMMING COURSE.
Materials Students receive the latest revision of the MRC Advanced Arc Welding Programming manual, which details welding commands and programming techniques for the Motoman MRC controller. Additional handouts relate to specific topics covered in the class. Students are urged to take notes, participate in discussions, and to bring up specific programming issues.
Length This module is a 3.0-day training class. On-Site classes are demand based and should be scheduled 60-90 days in advance to ensure availability.

Notes Price is for up to 6 students using customer provided robot systems. Plus travel expenses. No more than 3 students per programming pendant. For pricing for more than 6 students, contact the MOTOMAN Manager at 937.847.3229 This refresher course will move at a much faster pace than the matching standard course. Since students have previously completed the course, the focus is more on refreshing student's memories on topics once learned, but possibly since forgotten. Lecture time will be minimal with focus being on additional hands-on. All refresher courses are non-CEU.
