|Description||The MRC Com-Arc III Programming Module is an advanced course for the MRC controller. Com-Arc Seam Tracking and Touch Sensing are the focus of this module. Students are required to possess basic programming knowledge of the MRC controller and MRC system welding prior to attending this training module. As a minimum, the student should have a basic understanding of the GMAW process. The MRC Basic Programming Module with Arc Welding is a prerequisite to the MRC Com-Arc III Programming Module. MRC Advanced Arc Welding is recommended.|
|Topics||Students learn to manipulate the robot, create new robot programs, modify existing programs, and apply application-specific commands.
Primary topics include:
|Overview||Classroom lectures on theory of operations and programming commands are reinforced with demonstrations. Commands and topics are related to real-world examples and applications. Students perform workshoop exercises which emphasize topics covered in class lectures. Courses are kept small in class size, typically six or fewer, to promote an interactive, hands-on learning atmosphere.|
|Materials||Students receive a copy of the MRC Com-Arc III Function Manual, which details functions of the related Com-Arc software. Additional handouts are provided relating to specific topics covered in the class. Students are urged to take notes, participate in discussions, and to bring up specific programming issues.|
|Length||This module is a 2.5-day training class. On-Site classes are demand based and should be scheduled 60-90 days in advance to ensure availability.|
