| Description | Classroom lectures on programming commands are reinforced with demonstrations. Commands and topics are related to real-world examples and applications. Material covered in the lectures is enhanced with actual hands-on programming by students. Students work in teams to perform workshop exercises which emphasize commands covered in class lectures. Class size is kept small, typically 12 or fewer, to promote an interactive, hands-on learning atmosphere. This allows students to work closely with each other and Motoman instructors to grasp the concepts of robot programming. |
| Topics | Students learn to manipulate the robot, create new robot programs, modify existing programs, create backup data, and apply application-specific commands.

| Overview | The XRC Paint Accelerated Programming Module is an accelerated learning course covering standard basic and advanced programming functions and instructions. |
| Materials | Students receive the XRC Paint Accelerated Programming Manual and miscellaneous handouts that relate to specific topics covered in the class. Students are urged to take notes, participate in discussions, and to bring up specific programming issues. |
| Length | This module is a 4.5-day training class. On-Site classes are demand based and should be scheduled 60-90 days in advance to ensure availability. |
| Prerequisite | Although no prerequisite is required, typical students who enroll in this course either have extensive previous experience or have already taken a basic course. If a student doesn’t fall under either of the above categories, we highly discourage them from enrolling in this course. It runs at a very fast pace, covering 32 chapters in one week. Those who can’t keep up with the class, fall behind and consequently don’t learn as much as they had intended. |
