Course Overview
Classroom lectures and practice exercises consist of system safety and cell operation reinforced with demonstrations. Covered topics are related to real-world examples and applications. Material covered in the lectures is enhanced with actual hands-on programming by students in Motoman's 8,500-sq.ft. training facility. Students work in teams to perform workshop exercises which emphasize topics covered in class lectures. Class size is kept small, typically 6 or fewer, to promote an interactive, hands-on learning atmosphere. This allows students to work closely with each other and Motoman instructors to grasp the concepts of safe robot operation.
Course Materials
Students receive copies of handouts, which detail specific topics covered in the class. Students are urged to take notes, participate in discussions, and to bring up specific operating issues.
