This course focuses on the DX100 and FS100 controller, MotoSight 2D application interface with an emphasis on robot guidance. Students are required to possess basic programming knowledge of the controller prior to attending this training module. Although not a requirement, students are also encouraged to attend the Advanced Programming course.

- Personal Computer Setup
- Camera Calibration
- User Frames
- Macro Jobs
- Position Variables
- Control, and Arithmetic instructions
- Variable File Types
- Pendant Vision Interface
Course Overview
This course consists of classroom lectures, demonstrations, discussions and hands-on practice exercises. Covered topics are related to real-world examples and applications. To create an interactive and enhanced learning environment, class size is limited to 6 students. To perform the hands-on practice exercises, students are typically assigned 2 to a pendant at MTEC and no more than 3 to a pendant On-Site.
Course Materials
Students receive a copy of the DX00/FS100 MotoSight 2D Programming Training Manual which details instructions and programming technique for the Motoman controller. Additional handouts relate to specific topics covered in the class. Students are urged to take notes, participate in discussions, and to bring up specific programming issues.
