— Ten new GP-series robot models join the recently released high-speed GP7, GP8 and GP12 robots. Highly efficient, Yaskawa Motoman’s GP-series robot line now features 13 versatile models to boost application productivity.
This extensive lineup of six-axis robots supports a variety of customer needs in diverse industries. The GP-series robots are designed for a variety of handling applications such as assembly, packaging, machine tending and press tending, as well as dispensing, material cutting and material removal.
The GP-series robots offer exceptionally fast axis speeds and acceleration capabilities to reduce cycle time and increase production output. Due to the various payload capacities, the GP-series can support a wide array of tooling and sensors to fulfill unique project requirements. Each model is engineered with a wide wrist motion range to improve application flexibility and designed with a hollow arm to eliminate cable interference.
Installation is quick and efficient. A single cable is all that is needed to connect the manipulator to the controller, resulting in easy setup and reduced expenses for maintenance and spare parts inventory.

The streamlined arm allows easy access to parts in tight spaces, while the reduced interference design enables robots to be placed in close proximity to workpieces and other robots to create flexible, high-density layouts.
The powerful and efficient GP110, GP180, GP225, GP400
robots offer high payload capacities to provide superior performance for heavy part processing. These models are ideal for “jigless” applications. The GP110, GP180 and GP225 models have an IP67-rated wrist and an IP54 body standard, while the GP400 and GP600 robots offer an IP67-rated wrist with an IP30 body standard.
Featuring an extended reach and high moment and inertia ratings, the GP25-12, GP35L
robot models offer a broad work envelope for processing large parts, eliminating the need for a linear track. A high payload capacity also allows the GP180-120 robot to handle even larger and heavier payloads.
GP-series robots are controlled by Yaskawa’s new high-performance YRC1000 controller that is built to a global standard and does not require a transformer for input voltages ranging from 380VAC to 480VAC. The YRC1000 is highly compact (598 W x 490 H x 427 D), resulting in reduced space requirements. Its I/O communication speed is improved by as much as 50% for improved work efficiency and a single controller-to-robot cable improves cable reliability. The improved programming pendant design features enhanced ergonomics and lighter weight.
