Academy / Training / DX200 Preventive Maintenance @ Yaskawa Montreal (in English)

Who Should Attend

The DX200 Preventative Maintenance Course is a secondary-level course to Yaskawa Motoman industrial robots. This course provides programming, operating and maintenance instruction for first-time operators.

Course Overview

The training module consists of classroom lectures in which Yaskawa Motoman instructors present course material consisting of programming commands, reinforced with demonstrations. The commands and topics are related to real-world examples and applications.  Students enhance the materials covered in the lectures with actual hands-on programming in the Yaskawa Academy Canada classroom. Students work in teams to perform workshop exercises, including motor removal, robot calibration and simulated greasing procedures.
Classes are kept small in size, typically 4 or fewer students in order to promote an interactive, hands-on learning atmosphere. This allows the students to work with each other and Yaskawa Academy instructors in order to grasp the concepts of operating and maintaining a robot.

Course Materials

Students receive a copy of the DX200 Maintenance manual, which details maintenance functions and instruction techniques for the Yaskawa Motoman DX200 Controller. Additional handouts are provided relating to specific topics covered in the class. Students are urged to take notes, participate in discussions and to bring up specific programming issues.

Prerequisite

The DX200 BASIC PROGRAMMING course is strongly recommended as a prerequisite to this course.

Topics

Yaskawa Academy instructors cover topics, which enable the students to mechanically maintain the DX200 robots. An overview of the primary topics covered in the course is provided below:
