This course is an introduction to programming the MLX300 controller. The course pertains to programming of part picking, case packing, machine tending, and palletizing cells. No prior knowledge of robot programming, however, at a minimum of RSLogix knowledge creating and testing Ladder diagrams, programming Move, Timers, Counters and Compare instructions; searching Ladder Logic and programming a basic process.

Course Overview

This course consists of classroom lectures, demonstrations, discussions and hands-on practice exercises. Covered topics are related to real-world examples and applications. To create an interactive and enhanced learning environment, class size is limited to 6. To perform the hands-on practice exercises, the maximum students to robot ratio is 2 to 1.

Course Materials

Students receive a course outline, objectives, and MLX300 Basic Programming w/ Material Handling training manual. The class will be programming application examples & projects. Students are urged to take notes, participate in discussions, and inquire about specific operating issues.

Prerequisite

A "RSLogix Acknowledgement" document must be completed and returned identifying that the student has attended, at a minimum RSLogix skills:

  • Creating and testing Ladder Diagram
  • Programming Move, Timers, Counters and Compare instructions
  • Searching Ladder Logic and programming a basic process
