This course is an introduction to programming the YRC1000 controller. No prior knowledge of robot programming or the YRC1000 controller is required.

All virtual training classes will be delivered live via WEBEX, by our certified robotic instructors.

Course Overview

Lectures will be delivered using our E-Learning Modules.  For class exercises, we will be using RemotePC® connected directly to our MotoSim EG/VRC simulation software computers. Therefore, loading our simulation software will not be required.

Covered topics are related to real-world examples and applications. To create an interactive and enhanced learning environment, class size is limited to 6. 

Course Materials

Students will receive access to our LMS - (Learning Management System) to follow along during the delievery of the training class.  Students are urged to take notes, participate in discussions, and to bring up specific programming issues.


All students will require a reliable internet access to attend and participate in class exercises. Using a "Hotspot" is not recommended to attend this class. 

A computer system with two monitors is recommended to enhance your view, but not required. Must have means of communication, such as ear buds with microphone.  A camera is not required. 


Primary topics include:

  • Working safely in and around the robot cell
  • Powering up/down
  • Jogging the robot using all coordinate systems
  • Modifying points, motion type and speed
  • Adding position levels
  • Checking specified point
  • Recovering from alarms and errors
  • Cutting and pasting instructions
  • Programming I/O and control instructions
  • Monitoring and using Arithmetic variables
  • Creating and working in user frames
  • Defining and using Position Variables
  • Programming SFTON and SFTOF Instructions
  • Multiple Tool Selection
  • Monitoring Specific Outputs for Interference Zones


The Basic Programming w/ Material Handling LMS will be used for access to the manual for the delivery of the training class.  

Training class schedules are subject to be changed without notice, based on instructor availability.  

Attendees who complete the required number of contact hours will receive a certificate of completion.
