Applications / Machine Tending / SPI-67-injection-molding-interface

High-performance Yaskawa robots bring efficiency and reliability to the injection molding process, optimizing uptime and throughput, and addressing labor shortages for your production operation. Yaskawa’s easy-to-use SPI-67 interface streamlines removal of molded parts from an injection molding machine (IMM), while following SPI standards for safety and operation.

Robust Communication

  • Transmits standard handshake signals like door status, robot operating, ejector position, etc.

  • 50-pin interface connection acts as a physical link between the robot and the horizontal IMM.

Safe Operation

  • Adheres to the Society of the Plastics Industry, Inc. (SPI) electrical interface standards.

  • Dual-channel / redundant safety signals allow direct connection to the IMM.

Versatile Deployment

  • Compatible with YRC1000-controlled Yaskawa GP-series and HC-series robots.

  • NPN and PNP versions are available.
