Who Should Attend
The DX100 Advanced Programming Course is an advanced course for the DX100 Controller and programming of Yaskawa Motoman DX100 industrial robots. Students are required to possess basic programming knowledge of the controller and robots prior to attending this course. (The DX100 Basic Programming course is the prerequisite to this course.
Course Overview
The training module consists of classroom lectures in which Yaskawa Motoman instructors present course material consisting of programming commands reinforced with demonstrations. The commands and topics are related to real-world examples and applications. Students enhance the materials covered in the lectures with actual hands-on programming in the Yaskawa Motoman Robotics Canada 2400 square foot demonstration and training laboratory. Students work in teams to perform workshop exercises which emphasize the topics covered in class lectures. Classes are kept small in size, typically 12 or fewer students, in order to promote an interactive, hands-on learning atmosphere. This allows the students to work with each other and Yaskawa Motoman instructors in order to grasp the concepts of operating a robot.
Course Materials
Students receive a copy of the DX100 Advanced Programming Training Manual as well as handouts relating to specific topics covered in the class. Students are urged to take notes, participate in discussions and to bring up specific programming issues
Topics
Instructors cover topics which enable the students to perform advanced functions with the DX100 Controller. An overview of the primary topics covered in the course is provided below: - Advanced I/O Programming - Defining Cubic Interference Zones - Introduction to Concurrent I/O - Setting Axes Soft Limits - Application of Variable Data - Concurrent Job - Defining and Using Position Variables - Robot Calibration - Use of System Variables - Software Options such as PMT, Relative Job, Interrupt Job, External Reference Point - Naming Variables - Advanced Arithmetic Instructions - Backup Operations
