Who Should Attend
The DX100/DX200 Operator’s Course is a basic course designed for personnel responsible for operating a Yaskawa Motoman DX100/DX200 controller robotic system and minor point editing. Not meant for robotic programmers, this course will teach safety in and around the robot cell, use of the standard pushbutton operator’s station, basic troubleshooting and point modification. No prior knowledge of robot programming or of the DX100 / DX200 Controllers is required.
Course Overview
The training module consists of classroom lectures in which Yaskawa Motoman instructors present course material consisting of programming commands, reinforced with demonstrations. The commands and topics are related to real-world examples and applications. Students enhance the materials covered in the lectures with actual hands-on programming in the Yaskawa Motoman Canada Ltd. 2400 square foot demonstration and training laboratory. Students work in teams to perform workshop exercises, including actual programming to emphasize commands covered in class lectures. Classes are kept small in size, typically 12 or fewer students, in order to promote an interactive, hands-on learning atmosphere. This allows the students to work with each other and YMC instructors in order to grasp the concepts of operating a robot.
Course Materials
Students receive a copy of the DX100/DX200 Operator's Manual which details programming and editing instructions. Students are urged to take notes, participate in discussions and to bring up specific programming issues.
Topics
Yaskawa Motoman instructors cover topics which enable the students to manipulate the robot, create robot programs and modify existing programs. An overview of the primary topics covered in the course is provided below: - safety in and around the robot cell - powering up and down - coordinate systems - jogging the robot - modifying points - checking the specified point - checking TCP calibration - recovery from alarms and errors - use of standard pushbutton operator station
