This course consists of classroom lectures, demonstrations, discussions and hands-on practice exercises. Covered topics are related to real-world examples and applications. To create an interactive and enhanced learning environment, class size is limited to 12 (max). To perform the hands-on practice exercises, students are typically assigned no more than 3 to a programming pendant On-Site.

Course Overview

This course is an introduction to programming the YRC1000 controller. No prior knowledge of robot programming or the YRC1000 controller is required.

Course Materials

Students receive a copy of the YRC1000 Basic Programming Training Manual which details instructions and programming technique for the Motoman controller. Additional handouts relate to specific topics covered in the class. Students are urged to take notes, participate in discussions, and to bring up specific programming issues.

  • Tool Contorl Point (TCP)

Notes

Proposal will include up to (6) students using customer provided robot systems and will includ instructor's travel expenses.  Student to robot ratio is 3 to 1 (max).  Robot cells must be fully operational, dedicated to training during the entire week and in close proximity so that the instructor can supervise all students at one time.
